Vinod Sartape works on the issues of caste and cultural reproduction in Indian Diaspora in the UK. Building on theoretical framework of social and cultural reproduction, his research examines the way within which caste attitudes of superiority, pollution and separateness appear (on symbolic and material level) among Indian communities settled in the UK.
His research areas intersect the issues of caste, migration and diaspora; cultural reproduction; anthropology of caste and culture.
