Cities of Power : Nation-States and Their Capitals - public lecture by Göran Therborn

Göran Therborn is Professor emeritus of Sociology at the University of Cambridge, Dr. h.c. mult., and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (UK). Previously he was co-Director of the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study in the Social Sciences, and held chairs of sociology in Sweden and in political science in the Netherlands. His more recent publications include, The Killing Fields of Inequality (Polity 2013), The World (Polity 2011), and Between Sex and Power. Family in the World, 1900-2000 (Routledge 2004).
