Our alumna Raia Apostolova and currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences was awarded the Emma Goldman Award.

The Emma Goldman Award is given by the FLAX Foundation in collaboration with IWM, Vienna. The mission of FLAX is to contribute to building social justice, equality, and solidarity by supporting research in the fields of feminism and inequalities. The award recognizes scholars and activists for their significant contributions, public engagement, and future potential. Apostolova was honored for her engaged scholarship and research in the field of migration.  

The award ceremony took place on March 5, 2026, at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna.
