Ani Anjum

Ani Anjum, a socioeconomist by training, is a PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology. Their dissertation deals with labour, well-being, and dignity of precarious migrants in Berlin to understand the broader workings of imperialism. The research project delves into the evictability of migrants from public spaces, housing market, and personal lives, as well as the arrhythmia of life brought about by contradictory senses in waiting. It brings to the forefront conversations on social parameters of poverty, quality of life, and the right to a dignified existence by looking at the common marginalisations of people.
