Ariel Bineth

Ariel is a PhD Researcher at Central European University currently working on issues of transgender healthcare. They examine social and institutional barriers of access to gender-affirmative healthcare and the role of lay-expertise in creating alternative healthcare networks. Their previous research includes analyzing medical knowledge production in American pharmaceutical companies and the role of financial interests on scientific curiosity.

Their general frameworks include Science and Technology Studies (STS), Medial Sociology, and the Sociology of Knowledge. They are also interested in the Philosophy and History of Science.
