I am a PhD student in Sociology and Social Anthropology. My research focuses on political sociology and anthropology, with particular attention to ethnicity, nationalism, social movements, and the Middle East, especially Kurdish society and politics. My work has been published in leading journals, including "Nations and Nationalism", "Ethnicities", and "Nationalism and Ethnic Politics". I also serve on the editorial board of TISHK – "Zentrum für Studien über Kurdistan", a research center based in Cologne, Germany.
