I am currently a PHD student in the Sociology & Anthropology at the Central European University. I am also an assistant lecturer in the Political Science Department at the British University in Egypt, and one of the main researchers for the “25th Revolution Oral History Project” at the American University Library in Egypt and the “Oral History Project of Heliopolis” at the British University in Egypt (BUE) in partnership with Leicester University. In August 2017, I joined the bi-national Fulbright Commission in Egypt as a Program Consultant, where I have been responsible for administering the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, one of the largest programs for Egyptian mid-career professionals to pursue a non-degree study at prestigious universities in the United States. I graduated from BUE – in partnership with Loughborough University – in 2011 with a BSc in Political Science. And then pursued an MA in Gender & Women Studies in the Middle East and North Africa at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
